Toe yoga is designed to improve mobility, coordination, and strength in the toes. Most people have limited control of their toes due to years of restrictive footwear and lack of specific training. This can contribute to poor balance and decreased foot stability. In the foundational version, you’ll practice isolating different toe movements, such as lifting the big toe while keeping the other toes grounded, or lifting the smaller toes while the big toe remains on the floor. These drills retrain the neural connection between the brain and the foot, improving coordination and stability.
